Jack in a avid HO scale model railroader. The display in front of us is a much smaller Z-scale layout that Jack had in his dentist office. We are in the basement, which in the
flood of 2013 was filled with 5 feet of muck. Much of the train layout behind us survived serious damage because the underlayment floated. The basement has been completely repaired and remodeled. Jack continues to expand the layout based on the Rocky Mountain lumber industry as it was in the early part of the 20th century. The following photos show several aspects of rail yard activity.
